Hey everyone! So lately I've been super busy with school and other stuff but that hasn't stopped me from making a few more cakes! One is a brown and gold, lacrosse themed cake for the girl's Davis High Lacrosse Team! Another is a beautiful lime green birthday cake for one of my very good friends! Enjoy and remember to order one of your own!

Three Cheers for Davis, Our D-H-S

This is my high school! Funny story about this cake. I was making it for a swimming party we were having at the beginning of the season. Well anyone who knows me, knows that I'm always late, always. So of course in my style I came an hour and a half late to this party. If I ever want to make it in this industry something needs to change.

Even More Cakes

South Park College Cake- I made this for my brother and his roomates going up to Utah State. You can't quite see it but the sign says Logan.

Round Present Cake
I made this cake for my mom's birthday. I made it because she really like cats and the two cats on the cake are actually two cats that she's had.

I covered the sides with these types of shapes: mice, fish skeletons, balls of yarn, paw prints, words about cats, and hearts.

This is one of my favorite cakes. I think it overall turned out very well. My aunt had just had her first child and earlier had a baby shower where she got a bunch of monkey things. I decided that I would make in honor of the new arival, Magnus.

Welcome to the world Gus Gus, its pretty great for the most part at least when you've got awesome parents like yours!

I also made cupcakes because we were having a family party for my brothers birthday as well as being able to see Gus for the first time.

Two Flaming Unicorns

I made this cake for a friend's birthday, yes a boy that wanted a flaming unicorn. Hence why we're friends. You can't see it but the side is decorated red with yellow musical notes.

I made this cake, again for a friends birthday. The side of this one is much more girly, purple with blue hearts.

No One Mourns the WICKED

So during last summer my mom, grandma, sister, three cousins, and aunt all drove about fifteen hours down to Arizona to watch Wicked, turned around and came right back... it was so worth it! In honor of that occasion i decided to make a big playbill with matching flowers, pretty much took me fifteen hours to make this too (not really fifteen hours but a really long time).

Funny story about these stupid flowers. Usually if you want to make roses and have them stay in place you need to use royal icing, just a little tip so you don't have to do what I did. Since I didn't want to make royal icing, pretty much sheer lazyness, I decided to use storebought icing. Dumb idea, I would make them but then have to RUN them to the freezer to get them to freeze in place. Needless to say I had done about 50 flowers before I had enough that stayed in place.

Roses

Such an amazing play!

New Blog

Hey everyone who is reading this, which is probably just my mom and sister. I decided to start a blog to show everyone that I can make cakes... not necessarily good ones but hey "good" is subjective. I have been making cakes for a while now but I'm still learning and I'm super excited for what is to come. I'm excited to share with everyone my passion for cakes and some of my struggles along the way, so ENJOY!!
